1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using CareTag ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
CareTag is a mobile application that helps you:
- Catalog and organize your clothing items
- Store and reference care instructions
- Track laundry schedules and clothing maintenance
- Sync your data across devices via iCloud
3. User Responsibilities
When using CareTag, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your clothing items
- Use the App for its intended purpose of clothing care management
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
- Not use the App for any unlawful purpose
4. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by CareTag and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create within the App, including:
- Clothing item entries and descriptions
- Photos you take or upload
- Custom care instructions and notes
This content is stored on your device and/or your personal iCloud account. We do not claim any ownership or rights to your content.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Care instructions stored in the App are accurate or complete
Important: Always verify care instructions with the actual garment labels before washing or treating clothing. CareTag is a reference tool and should not replace manufacturer care labels.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARETAG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Damage to clothing from following stored care instructions
- Loss of data
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
- Any other intangible losses
8. iCloud and Third-Party Services
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your use of that feature is also subject to Apple's terms and conditions. We are not responsible for:
- iCloud service availability or reliability
- Data loss due to iCloud issues
- Changes to iCloud functionality by Apple
9. Updates and Changes
We may update the App from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. We may also modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for violations of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
