CareTag ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.
Information We Collect
CareTag is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:
- Clothing Data: Information you enter about your clothing items (names, care instructions, photos) is stored locally on your device.
- iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synced through Apple's iCloud service using your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to this data.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
- Personal identification information
- Location data
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Advertising identifiers
- Any data from your device beyond what you explicitly enter into the app
Data Storage
All your clothing data is stored:
- Locally: On your device using Apple's Core Data framework
- iCloud (optional): If enabled, synced via Apple's CloudKit service to your personal iCloud account
We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Your information never passes through our systems.
Third-Party Services
CareTag uses the following Apple services:
- iCloud/CloudKit: For optional data synchronization across your devices. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

- iOS device encryption
- Apple's iCloud encryption (for synced data)

CareTag does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not require any personal information to function.
